We got our bunny today. She is a 12 week old lionhead. Kristopher is obsessed with Simba from the movie the Lion King, and when I said lionhead, he said it has to be named Simba. I pointed out that it's a girl bunny, so her name is now Nala, like Simba's girlfriend. He wanted to put his beloved Simba (which he sleeps with every night and normally goes everywhere) into the cage, till I also had to point out that bunnies chew. So, Nala is without her boyfriend. Her name was originally Sugar, but she wasn't really played with or had much attention, so she didn't know her name. I guess it's ok to rename her since she's so young. Anyway, here's a hilarious video of what she did after I got Kristopher to bed tonight.
Ok so I'm not sure how to load it here, so here's the link to photobucket

I'm trying to work on a new cage idea for her. I don't like the idea of her being in such a small cage. She's been out most of the afternoon and evening, and loves the room, but for the long run, she will be getting a better cage. I was going to use the old dog crate, but I think she might be able to squeeze through if she really tried.
She has major attitude issues, and is very very hyper. She likes to sniff everything, and will be ok with being petted, on her terms, but does not like to be held. I hope she warms up to that because she is so soft and tiny.
Zoey is highly pissed at me. She thinks she has been replaced, and when I tried to get her to sniff her tonight, she showed the teeth and turned away. Then ignored me till I gave her a few treats and played on the floor for a while. I guess tomorrow I'll have to figure out something special to do with the depressed doggy.
Oh and since I never posted pics of her yet, I will now. Zoey is our first baby. She's almost 8, and is a Keeshond. It's from earlier this week. She was loving the warm spring weather almost as much as the rest of us.

And the quick cycle update. Today was day 28. Nothing happened. I'm not brave enough to test till mid next week. By then something should be happening one way or another. I've got plenty of distractions and new obsessions so I can hold off longer now. I do know, I do not want to test again till I have a much better chance of it being positive.
I can see why they are called lionheads. She's cute, I hope she learns to calm down and cuddle.
