Can't sleep

That weird pain from last night is still lingering. I'm not sure what it is exactly, it just hurts and keeps me from laying flat. My side has been tender most of the day, but after I ate supper tonight, it came back and has been torturing me since. I said something to my mom about it, and she says it sounds like gall bladder. But, I haven't gotten sick in any way. It's just a pretty constant pain. Then she said it was gas. Nope. Not that either. I just feel bad right now and not sure why. Apparently, junk food doesn't like me lately. I have tried rolaids and that somewhat helps, gives me rolaids reflux. I think it's just a bad case of indigestion. I have no idea. I'm going to drink a diet pepsi, and see if that helps.

So while I'm awake and bored at 11pm, I'll ramble about my day. I got some things done on my list, went over to my grandma's and went through some boxes of old kids books and stuff she wanted me to see before she decided to get rid of things. That was interesting. I ended up getting sent home with a box of kids books that need seriously taped up before Kristopher can touch them. I got a box of really old games that I want to hang onto for when he is bigger. And, he got sent home with stuffed animals that was mostly mine, but one tiger is apparently something given to my mom by my great-great grandma. He insisted on carrying them to the car himself and all 3 new ones, and the usual are in bed next to him. If I knew he wouldn't wake up, I'd take a picture because it looks cute.

I never started my sewing projects I was hoping to do. I went to get fabric and the store was closed today. My luck....I might go tomorrow, or maybe wait till the weekend when I can go alone and take the time to drool over all the pretty fabrics and get mental ideas about everything I want to do but won't.

I did get outside this afternoon and the front yard is all raked up and looking nice. It's really starting to turn green. I also cleaned some leaves out from under the barberry bushes. That was fun. My arms are all cut up now and swollen, and I had to remove a thorn from my finger tonight. That was even with having 2 layers of long sleeve shirts on! Tomorrow I'm trying it with my winter coat, and a pair of work gloves. I found crocus's under those leaves, and I want to get them out and move them to a prettier spot. I did manage to get about 8 moved, but that's all I could handle. They are so pretty though! It really brightened up my day to see some color out there!

Oh, and another thing that made me happy this past weekend....Giant grocery stores have this gas rewards program. For every dollar you spend, you get 1 point. for every 100 points, you save 10 cents per gallon. They also do these sales each week and it varies from 4-8 items, on a special sale. For those items, you have to buy the number listed (mix and match) and you'll earn 200 more points. So I do those sales because often they are things that are good to stock up on or something we actually use. This weekend they said that I had too many points, and that I couldn't use anymore all at once. I had 1700 pts. So, I filled up. I was totally empty. I have an explorer, and it has a 20ish gallon tank. When we first got it, gas was over $4 a gallon. It cost about $80 to fill it for the first few months after we got it. Check out what I paid....

Kinda a glare...$2 total. For over 20 gallon. And yes, I'm a dork and got out and took a picture of that! And even bigger dork that I'm blogging it and posting the picture on here.

Now that you all think I'm totally crazy, I'm going to attempt to go to bed.

  1. Those are some crazy gas savings! That's awesome. I wish someone offered deals like that around here.

I hope it's not you GB acting up. I will say that I got pretty bad gas when I had a flare up. If the pain keeps up you should probably see someone. My sil had an H. pylori infection in her stomach that caused her all kinds of pain. She had to get an endoscope to diagnose it, but treatment was just some antibiotics and it's a good thing they caught it since H pylori can lead to stomach cancer. So it's good to let someone know what going on if it's persistent. However, I went to a mean old gastroenterologist over my GB problems and he said that he doesn't try to figure out stomach pains cause you never will... yeah, thanks for that mean old GI doc.

  2. Well, I never got sick as in throwing up... usually I would be nauseated before hand, then when the attack hit I would have gas, very very bad diarrhea, chills and all kinds of cramps and pains along with it. Then afterwards I was usually very sore and the area where my gall bladder is would throb for several days or even weeks. Oh, those were fun times.
