End of week update

Ok, so I've been missing for a while again. Things are so crazy around here. Long story short, my 85 yr old great-grandma (who has been there more than my actual grandmother) had a stroke. We noticed for the past week and half she's been acting quiet, which typically meant she was mad at us. But never all 3 of us (me, my mom and my mom's real mother) at the same time. We noticed a lot of scary issues and forgetfulness. Confusion and worried us so my grandmother took her to the dr and we assumed it was Alzheimer's. She was scheduled for tests Friday and next week. Instead, she shows up at my house Wednesday mid morning, confused and insisting she had an appt, and acting like it was 2-3 yrs ago. I called my mom, who called her mother and by 4pm she was in the ER for "testing that can't wait". She got admitted and Thursday morning we found out it was a stroke. Mild, but enough that she is weak and not herself. She however is mad that she is still in there, and has been wanting to come home. I have been going non stop since Wednesday. Mowed for her Wednesday. Spent till midnight at the hospital. Babysitting part of thursday, and back to the hospital for about 6 hrs. Then babysitting today, trying to catch up here, back to the hospital tonight. Oh and I've been over to take in her newspaper every morning bc of the chance of rain. And picking strawberries. I am EXHAUSTED.
In good news, she might be released tomorrow, and is still able to live alone. We will just check in on her a lot more frequently than we had been. She will probably need more help and no longer allowed to drive. I think she will listen because of the risk of being stuck back in that hospital.

In other news, Wednesday was suppose to be t-ball picture day. I decided I was only doing a team shot, and the rest would be done by myself. I can capture the "true" Kristopher better than his fake pose for the camera dude. After 20 or so shots, I got one I was very happy with......Saved myself a lot of money, and got a much nicer picture. I printed a few today and I'm really happy with it. So now I'm off to bed, so I can start another crazy day.

Almost weekend!

Well, it Thursday. I'm ready for the weekend. It's been a long week. Actually, past 2 weeks have been long and hard. I feel a little better though. Time for some updates.
Kristopher's been acting out a lot again. Including on vacation. It's wearing me down and frustrating me. At times I feel like a total failure. Then he has a good day, and it is just perfect timing to make me realize I'm not doing that bad. However, I made an appt for a new therapist and we meet with them next Wednesday. It's mostly for getting a game plan of what to expect with school, and to be ready to fight any negativity at school. He is not able to start in any summer prep program because he's not behind learning wise. It's just very frustrating thinking of the school year approaching.

Herbs...It's been since November. I had 1 really good for sure cycle, and then this last one was a flop. It wasn't a really horribly long wait, but it wasn't a normal timeframe either. I'm chalking it up to stress and all that and hoping to calm down some this round. It's day 7 already here.

In final news...I have a new nephew. The deadbeats had their 2nd baby on Sunday. So far he appears to be healthy and I guess everyone is doing well. No one has updated my mom since they were discharged. They didn't pay their phone bill so there is no way to contact them. Oh well....I have no plans on going to see it and am fine with waiting till whenever they end up here for a day.

So that's what's been going on here....At least today is a really great day weather wise and we can get out and get some much needed sun.

Day...

Something. I'm too tired to count back, but it started Friday. Just for my records. Not normal but not overly late.

Monday-Friday Family

Today I got some really cute pictures of the little people. I have mentioned it many times before...I've been babysitting since Feb for a friend. The kids are now 19 months and almost 6 months. Kristopher loves having them around, and really my days haven't changed all that much. We're busier, which is a good thing, and since it's for a friend, we're still able to go when we need to. They are here typically M-F, and for close to 12 hrs. So they are like my M-F family. Anyway.....
Today I had put the kids all on the couch together so I could re-vacuum the floor. The baby is all over the place now and vacuuming is sometimes a 2 or 3 time a day job in the living room. So, loaded everyone on the couch and re-vacuumed. They looked so cute together so I grabbed the camera. Note the little pony tail. I am special and the only one allowed to easily do her hair, and the only one she will leave it on for. She's also a quiet little girl so far, and does not say much of anything yet. Today she copied Kristopher and said "CHEESE!!!" as soon as I got the camera. It was so cute!
Here's some pictures of my little M-F family.

Beach trip 2010

We came home to cold, nasty rainy weather. My mind is stuck at the beach. I figured I'll use that and go with it for our beach summary. With pictures! Yay!

So, Sunday we arrived. The trip there was easy. Kristopher was great, and watched 4 movies on the way and we got there around 1:30pm. Got to the hotel several hours before check in and they let us check in early. Awesome. We get to our room and were blown away. Incredible place. So we get settled in and went to do some grocery shopping. We planned on making most of our meals at the hotel since we had a pretty nice little kitchen. After some shopping we enjoyed some pool time, and a walk on the beach and then called it an early night. Oh and lets not forget my very long soak in the jacuzzi tub. Oh how I miss that tub!! (I took so many relaxing baths while on vacation. Must invest in jacuzzi tub one of these days)

Monday we visited Ripley's Aquarium and Broadway on the Beach. Here is Kristopher at Ripley's.
So, Ripley's was a pretty nice place. The shops around there were fun to check out as well, and we spent some time feeding the crazy fish and ducks. Oh and that morning at the hotel and beach, we found 2 baby sea turtles on the beach. So cute. The rest of the day was spent relaxing between the hotel, pool and beach.
Tuesday was a rainy day, and we relaxed most of that day away. Same as above. Hotel & pool time. Ended the day with something amazing that I wish I could have gotten a full picture of. Double rainbow over the ocean. So pretty.
Wednesday we played in the pools and did hotel stuff. My aunt visited us that evening. She lives about 45 mins away so that was nice.
Thursday was more of a beach/hotel day. We took Kristopher to see a movie that evening, and the same night I found a small sting ray swimming about a foot in front of me in the ocean. I thought it was pretty cool.
Friday we packed up and after a round of mini golf, we left. The dvd player decided to crap out, so the ride was a little more vocal from Kristopher, but overall not too bad. We got home before 10pm that night.
So overall, it was a good vacation. I can't believe it has come and gone already, and that we come home to such crappy weather. It was nice to be away from here, on our own a little, and to have all that time with my husband without work drama. I miss my doggy though so we had to come home. Maybe I should start a countdown till next years vacation.....

Home

We got home late Friday night. Back to reality. I'm having a rough week and taking a break for a while. I just can't grasp all the crap going through in my head lately enough to blog something understandable. So, a break till I can think better.
Vacation was great. I wish I could go back. I miss the beach and I miss my husband being around more. Just have to get back into the right frame and back to normal.

A beach picture

From our first morning here. View from our room. I LOVE IT!
Quick update. I'm still sick. The sinus issues are still lingering and it's moved to my chest as well. But, hot tubs and the jacuzzi tub helps a ton to feel better! Kristopher's also catch this, but not too bad yet. We are still having a great time and will be sad to go back home.
