Today I took the day to rest and recover from a long weekend. Yesterday my mom and I went back out and I'm pretty sure I'm totally done with Kristopher's shopping. The kid is spoiled rotten and if I get much else, I don't know where it will all go. He is going to have a really good Christmas.
Tomorrow I'm going to have him go through his toybox in the morning and get rid of some of the toys he no longer plays with to make room for the new, and box up some of the others that he still wants to keep for when we move that he can leave them behind for when he visits here. And if he isn't too willing, I'll go through it all when he's at school.
We got our Christmas tree yesterday. Kristopher did most of the decorations and Dennis had to do the lights. I can't touch it without getting hives. Something newly developed over the past year or so. I'm fine unless it jags me. This morning I came down and went out in that room and my eyes started watering and nose issues. It's definitely an allergy to the tree now. At least it's not in the livingroom this year and I'll just limit my exposure as much as possible. I can handle it. We have to have our tree!
TTC update...I tested Friday. Negative. I was cramping and thought that maybe since I wasted the money on testing, it would bring it on. Nothing started. Yesterday I rolled over in bed and shot back up fast because of boob pain. More crampiness throughout the day yesterday. Boob sensitivity is higher today but not all over pain, and some more cramping. No spotting yet. I'm going to wait this out because the pain is a sure sign for me that something is on the way. It could go either way but something's going on.
I'm also disgusted by facebook right now. It was the first day of deer season here today, and people decided to post pictures of their hunts. Disgusting. And there is more than just deer shown. I can't handle it. It looked like my doggy. I had to go hug her and was about to cry. Poor thing.....
I should go try to sleep. I'm really trying to get to bed early and have a better sleep routine again. It's not working that great.
Welcome to my blog. I'm Michelle and my blog is simply a mix of what is going on in my life. From infertility to parenting, a failed journey with foster parenting, and a surprise baby! It's a mix of topics and totally random, but it's my outlet.

Shopping
I was one of the crazy people out there yesterday morning. My mom & I decided to attempt the sales. We got up at 2:30, and left the house by 3:15. Our first stop was Kohls at 4am and ended up making out incredibly well there. It was very busy, but everyone in that store was so organized and friendly. I spent $58 something, got 2 really huge bags full of toys and stuff, and saved over $90 total! Next we hit Target which was so crazy that we just walked out. We treated ourselves to Dunkin donuts for breakfast and then did a few more stores. While I typically hate walmart, they had some incredible deals yesterday as well.
I should say that K is totally done but I feel like going overboard...I know I shouldn't but he is the only one, and what if I don't have anymore? And next year he starts school and a lot of people I know say once they start school, it's common for them to stop believing in the whole santa thing. This year he is beyond excited about santa and the magic of everything so yes, I'll be crazy and spoil him rotten. I have a list for a trip to toysrus one of these days then I will be done with him.
I also have too many ideas for my friends little girl. I've let myself get too close and attached over the past few months of babysitting. They have way too much cute stuff for babies now though!
I never see my niece anymore so I only got her one thing so far and if I don't see her anymore before they show up for Christmas, that's all she's getting. I doubt we will even see her again till her birthday after Christmas is over.
My husband and I have decided we are not buying for each other but instead we are finally getting a Wii as a "family gift". I want to get Wii fit for it as well so that I can work on these weight issues over the boring winter months. I still have to figure out for our parents.
I plan on making a day of things and taking K out to buy for people too. He wants to get everyone something special and he even has his own little mental list of what people like. He's so excited about it. I love that he's thinking of others as well. And his ideas are pretty good on what they like! I hope he always is so thoughtful towards others....
Tomorrow we are going to get our tree and decorate outside. Next week I'm going to work on my Christmas card picture and I hope it turns out really good. I got a cute idea for it this year and I'll share once I finalize things.

I could so handle this!
Yesterday went so much better with the baby. I am pretty sure I'm right on the "sickness" right now. It appears that it was molars, and a slight cold. She handed me her paci yesterday and it was drooled and had blood mixed in the drool. Of course I freak and look all over it to see where it may have been broke and cut her. Then it hits me. Check the gums! Sure enough, top molar had broke through, and so did another bottom tooth. And her temp went down to 99. If it was the flu, there is no way she would have dropped that fast and been that huge of a change. By lunch, she was totally fever free. By evening she was same old wild baby I know. She ate and drank and played great last night.
My husband came home from work exhausted so I was able to manage making supper, eating, bathed the baby, cleaned up the kitchen while K bathed (he likes privacy now. Ha) then since Dennis went to bed, I got K to be totally ready for bed, read them both a ton of books and came downstairs again for quiet time for the baby. She fell asleep on me and I was in my happy place.
I managed to have everyone asleep by 9, house was clean, everything was great. Now I didn't shower but I can live with that.....There's always this morning to squeeze that in.
She goes home today and her little life is forever changed when she walks through that door and see mommy with another baby. I hope she does good with everything.
And I'm up early, quiet house and I'm looking forward to my day. Oh wait, I hear footsteps upstairs. My sneaky monster is awake. Time to start the day.
But anyway, I can totally handle another. Bring it on!

Sick baby
My friend went in labor on Sunday evening and when I picked up her little girl, she had a fever of 102.8. She's been coughing pretty nasty and snotting and was just really sleepy. My friend was upset and a mess over the fact that she had to leave her with me like this, and her family really claimed they weren't able to watch her so I was the only other option. I took her and it's been a little stressful but going ok.
Yesterday I took her to the dr because the fever hit 103.1 yesterday morning. After a total look, they say "well, this could be the swine flu because she did not get her vaccine." Swine Flu! I panicked in my mind because I've been holding and comforting here, K was playing with her last week and right in her face a lot, and I was freaking out about us catching it. They gave her the tamilflu and sent us on our way. Never tested this or anything. Later in the day I was really concerned because she did not pee at all while here, did not drink or eat anything and I was afraid she was becoming dehydrated. I called them back, and the other dr, the main one who started the practice, claims it sounds like a virus, it will run it's course and if her fevers stay high then it's probably the flu but too early to tell. So 2 different answers. She finally drank some for me last night, peed and was in bed by 7:45. She slept all night and the fever hasn't gone above 99.3 since her 7:30pm motrin last night. I discovered she's getting molars so now I'm wondering if it's just a cold and the fever is from teething.....I'm not sure though. It's very stressful because she's not mine! I worry that I'll do something wrong and make her worse.
The fever isn't technically a fever anymore, and she's drinking finally and playing a lot so she's on the mend. Just coughing and sounds congested now.
And the new baby was born last evening and will be coming home Wednesday. The ped says to keep them isolated from each other but I'm not sure how well that will go. Tomorrow this one will be going to stay with her grandma so they can be together for thanksgiving, but after that she will probably be back home.
In the meantime, I've been a cleaning freak. My hands are so dry from washing them so often, the house still smells of lysol, I've washed blankets we came in contact with on Sunday, anything I can think of. When she leaves I'm going to do a total deep cleaning in here and bleach the baby toys she's played with. I really hope no one else catches it if it is in fact more than a cold.
I've isolated K to his toyroom and anytime he comes in near the baby he washes his hands good after so I think I'm doing the best I can. I may be missing again till at least tomorrow evening.

Weekend!
Another week is finally about over. I'm thankful for that. It was a rough one, but we're finally on the flip side and things are improving.
Zoey is doing a lot better. Still lazy and weak, but last night she was able to go upstairs. It took a few stops on the steps and I thought I was going to end up carrying her, but she made it. She has not pooped since Tuesday though. That's kind of expected but I still find it strange. They said it might be a week or more because of the amount of meds they had to give her to stop her this time. Still no results from that special blood work that is checking the pancreas but they said it could take a week. All that matters is she is improving lots and will be ok!
On top of the dog issues this week, I've been extra busy because preschool started again. It's only 4 weeks this year but it gives him something to do and look forward to. I decided we will not be signing up for the spring session since we don't know where we will be by that point (hopefully in a new house!) and I don't want to take from some other kid's chance of getting in. He knows that this is his last time and that next fall he goes to kindergarten. He's beyond excited and wants to start "X-ing the days!" I told him we will wait till it's August again and then he can do that.
For the upcoming week, we will be busy again. From Sunday night till probably Wednesday maybe longer, I'll have my taste of what having a 2nd kid will be like. My friend was due Monday, and is being induced this coming Monday. They have to be there extra early so I'll be picking up her daughter Sunday night. I'm hoping it goes well. She does ok with our Thursday & Friday regular days, but she's never been here all night. And apparently she still wakes up at least once per night. But like I said, it will give me a glimpse on what to expect. Maybe I'll decide to run and hide from that idea ever again! just kidding. I'm actually looking forward to it.
Since I finally know when to expect babysitting to end for now, I went ahead and scheduled my appt for the referral. It will be Dec. 7th. Who knows how long it will take to get into the clinic at this point. I can't make the appt though until I have the referral. I'm going to test again next week sometime, and then start this tea. Maybe that can bring things on. I'm up to the 70's now I believe. I'd have to look back to confirm that.
Another thing I need to do before this appt is get back on track with dieting. I've gained back at least 5lbs. While I'm busy, I am not as active as before because it's cold and I don't feel like being outside in that. Most of my busyness is stuck in the car. And we're eating way too much take out and junk food while busy. It has to stop. After thanksgiving of course. I refuse to let this winter get out of control though.

She's home!
It took until after 3 for the vet to finally call me back. They did a total blood work up and determined that she is anemic. That explains a lot but I was confused on how that happened seeing as she's not bleeding. I asked a billion questions and have done a lot of research so I think I understand that now.
The other concern is her obvious pain when she would lay on her belly. They are doing a special blood test that will tell us if her pancreas is bad. If it is normal levels, then it's assumed that it's just a bout of pancrentitas (sp?) and the antibiotics will cure that. If it's bad results, it basically means she is just going to have to take a supplement daily for the rest of her life to help her digest her food better. More research and I am understanding all that better too.
So she is home! No more poop problems since last night at 7:30pm, and she's a lot more alert. She was so excited to see me when they brought her to me. Tail wagging and she was crying for me. She ran to me which was so great to see! Then we left the office and went to the car and she decided to act pissy with me in the car. She kept ignoring me and turned her head away like "how dare you leave me like that!" When we got home she ran to the door. She was so happy to be home! I got her to be happy with me again by feeding her and she took her pills great. She's on 750mgs of antibiotics for 10 days.
The special blood work will be back next week mid week. Until then, I'm suppose to just keep her comfy, keep giving the antibiotics, her pasta/burger diet till she's pooping normal again for at least 2 days, then wean her back onto her dog food. And they told me to keep her on the main floor so me and her are going to be sleeping in the living room till she is able to do the steps without difficulty. The couch is not that comfy but I can't leave her down here alone.
But anyway, she's home! She will be ok! She's already showing signs of improvement. I feel much better now.

Hard day
I just left Zoey at the vet. She hasn't had anymore poop problems since around 7:30 last night, but because she's so weak and out of it, they want her for at least the day. She was semi excited to go "byes" and then couldn't get into the car on her own. Then she watched me with her sad eyes the whole way and looked so uncomfortable. When we pulled into the vet, she cried. We walked in and she cried when they took her. She looked at me so confused.
I did ok till I got in my car and saw the empty seat. I haven't been ok since. She has to come home. Has to be ok.
I had K at my grandma's so at least it wasn't worse than this.
But the look on her face.....She hurts, and her mommy just left her at a place that hurts her more.....

Zoey update
She's not doing any better. She's actually getting worse. She is now tripping and can not do the steps at all. When I called the vet, they had me come down today for a new antibiotic, and now she's completely zoning. I called them back at 8:30 and they want me to bring her in right away in the morning for blood work. She will have a total work up and if it all comes back normal, they are going to keep her for injectable meds and she can come home tomorrow evening as long as she responds like they hope.
If the blood work comes back that something bad is wrong, well...I'm not sure how much we can do. She's very clearly suffering right now, and I don't know what our options would be. If we can't get her comfortable well....I'm not going to talk about that. I'll update tomorrow sometime. I'm trying to figure out how I'm breaking it to K that we are taking her somewhere tomorrow and she won't be leaving with us right away. And while trying not to lose it mentally. She's our first baby...

Sick Dog
Zoey is really sick. I'm pretty sure she didn't get into anything this time, so I'm not sure what has caused it. It started Friday but not bad, so I figured it was just because she was stubborn and refused to go out earlier. Typically if she doesn't go out at her usual times, and she holds it longer, she has diarrhea for a little after she does finally go. All outside btw thankfully!
So, Saturday we get home and my mom says the dogs been sick, I probably shouldn't feed her normal food. She's still not bad, so I gave her rice/food mix instead of making her burger. She went more than normal but still was not bad. Sunday was the same till late in the day. I made her burger and rice, fed her small amounts more frequently, and spent all of Sunday night up every 15-20 mins to take her out. And it was really bad by that point. I won't go into more detail because it's very gag worthy and it's just too early. But anyway, I was up every 15-20 mins from about 12-5am. My mom was up at 5 and took over and I woke up at 7 in a panic because I thought she went to work and the dog was left alone downstairs. I rushed down and mom decided to stay home to help me with her because she was out still about the same amount of times.
We wait forever for the vet to open and she never did get an appt till 3:45. She got her usual shot, anti diarrhea meds, and antibiotics again. This time it's not working. I fed her last night around 7, and she was out at least 6 times over night. I got woke up at 5:45 because mom had her out and she said she started shaking when she got to the door (it is really cold this morning) and that when she tried to get her to come upstairs, she couldn't do the steps.
So, at this point, we're waiting for the vet to open again. I don't know if it's normal for a bad case of this to take a day or so to respond to meds, or if we're going back in for more tests. I just want for her to feel better. She can't lay normal right now and she keeps crying and moves around a lot to try to get comfortable. She's doing so good though. Not a single accident inside. My poor doggy....
And for a little humor to the mix...K got majorly freaked out and disturbed by being along to the vet and witnessing the vet stick fingers up poor Zoey's butt. Later he asks "but why? Her butt......WHY?"

Herbals again
I bought herbal tea. I'm not sure how it will work and I bet it will taste like butt, but I'm willing to try it. I've been doing so much research lately and while I originally thought I had the answer of what to start, the lady I talked to didn't seem so convincing. I'm not patient enough to try something for 6 months, then switch the plan and try another 6 months of something else. I want something that will show change quicker than that, and help me. And I'm really liking the idea of herbal as apposed to a winter full of long drives to the RE clinic and spending entirely too much money again for nothing.
Another thing I found and totally forgot I had was this fertility blend. I did try this before and had a lot of spotting so I quit taking it. If I remember right, I only took it for about 5 or 6 weeks, and I did have a period around 30 days, plus mid cycle bleeding. I stopped thinking it wasn't working. But now I have to wonder if that works like the T&C/HB formulas from last week's post. They warned me with that to expect spotting while the reproductive organs balance out and the body will get rid of the old. I didn't give it enough chance. So this I already have a full month supply of. I am going to talk to someone at GNC about it before starting it though because I'm not willing to stop the prenatals and this has vitamins as well as the herbs. I think before it said not to take both.
I still have not decided what my approach will be, and I still have not tried the tea. I feel sort of crazy because I test and it's negative, but I've also had a solid week of weird twinges and pains like something was going on. So without being monitored, I worry about what if. Everything I have available says do not take if you are or suspect you could be pregnant. I doubt that I am but that little voice will not shut up. It would be nice if I could find someone who truly understands the herbal ideas, and would be able to tell me what would work best for me and my needs AND wants. Without sounding confused, without forgetting that I do in fact WANT to be pregnant. If I just got a straight answer of something, I'd just do it already.
Another thing I've been told with the herbal choice is I really "should learn about temp charting and follow that strictly." That is just not an option for me. I do not sleep straight through on any night, so that will just be up and down and all over. I do not wake up at the same time daily. I can set an alarm, but it really isn't possible to do it effectively. I wake up multiple times per night, Dennis leaves at 3am, and K wakes up anywhere from before 6 to 8am. Just not going to work.
Still alive
I'm working on a post when I have more time. I need to research and make it more clear before I publish. I've been slacking a little with my updates because my wrist has started hurting. Back when I worked, I was seen several times with the beginning of carpal tunnel issues and it's starting to come back I think. Today I went to turn something for K and my wrist had shooting pains and gave out. So it's been a blast today.
We have a busy weekend planned so I'll try to finish this later. One hand typing is really slow and complicated.

Early Intervention Evaluation
At Kristopher's 5 year check up, they had asked about any speech difficulties. I said that the only things I've picked up on is that his L's are W sounds, and the TH is an F sound. And occasionally R's are off depending on what part of the word it is. She suggested an evaluation since he is 5 now.
Yesterday was the evaluation. I didn't know ahead of time but it ended up being a total early intervention evaluation to see what areas he needs help with and if he qualifies for any programs seeing as he's not in full time preschool or kindergarten yet. It was about 45 mins and they asked him tons of questions. A lot of it he was real quick to answer and then started to bounce around in his seat and kind of sing some answers in this goofy voice. He was bored. It was very obvious. The only things he had trouble with was he doesn't know a few body parts. Such as, jaw, heel, waist, and I forget what the other question was. Basically they said it would be unusual if it was something he did already know.
The bottom line with it is he does not have any speech concerns. They said the letters he messes up on is very typical and they don't usually get that one down till around 7-8 yrs old. Something to do with baby teeth coming out, new coming in, and just that it's typical for his age. They also say he has an underbite that could cause some of the problem as well, but not to worry about it at all right now. That makes me feel better. Then they say that he's also not eligible for any of their services and that he is functioning on a "end of kindergarten level." Which they say means he is doing everything that is needed to pass kindergarten. And it's quite obvious that he was bored with the questions. There was a few things that they got him to think on, such as showing him a number and he had to put that many blocks on the table. He focused really well for that because he had to count them before he did it. I'm kind of concerned about how he will act in kindergarten next year. I mean, if he was clearly bored with a 45 min evaluation, I worry he won't sit still and listen when he needs to next year.
The only concern they have with him is his writing. He doesn't like to sit and practice here, so he doesn't do a lot of that. He doesn't hold the pencil properly. But he can write his name. We need to practice on making it small enough to fit in one row on the paper. I am going to work harder at that. They also said a way to get him to hold it properly would be take a bunch of crayons and break them small so he's forced to hold them the right way. He's weird about that and probably would not use them because they are "broken" so I don't plan to do that. We will figure that part out eventually.
I do think at this point the move is a very good idea because we will be in a better school district that will push a little to make him think more. This school district would be trying to say to medicate him because of not focusing. It's clear that he only loses the focus in learning situations when he is bored. So if we find a way to make him try harder and challenge him, that should not be a problem. I do have to say I'm proud of how that turned out and to all those negative people who said I'm failing him by keeping him home with me, they can bite me. Apparently I've done something right!
And he does start a little preschool program again that is ran though the high school child care class. It starts Thursday and will be a little over 4 weeks this time. He is so excited about that.

Anniversary
Yesterday morning I was feeling sort of bummed. It was our anniversary, and my husband had to work. Which typically isn't a big deal, but I knew we didn't have any plans and we decided we were getting each other anything this time. He woke me and said happy anniversary before he left for work, and I figured I wouldn't hear from him again till around lunch. So I get up, and decided I'd see if I could find a babysitter for us to get a few hours out. I text him asking how late he was working and he said "can't leave till after 5." More bummed, I kept trying and found his sister would LOVE to watch K for us. I figured it was time to suck it up and let her, and told myself he would at least have the chance to spend a few hours playing with his cousins. He desperately needs the interaction, and maybe since they are older he would stay more calm and follow the rules while there. (which he did awesome apparently)
So I text him back saying that I found a babysitter, how about supper? I'd meet him at work at 5. He said ok and asked what time I had to leave today for the appt. (new post on that later)
I said I had to be on the road by 9:30 so I probably wouldn't be able to talk when he was on his 1st break. I then proceed to rush around and make supper to throw in the crock pot for my parents, send K up to get dressed. Still working on supper I look out the window. I notice my car's roof rack says Xterra. I drive an explorer. I do a double take and I see the front end of his car pull up a little farther. THE SNEAK CAME HOME!!!!!!!!!! I almost cried. Then, I saw him walk around our cars and he was carrying flowers! There was actually a few tears but I recovered quickly and met him outside. He did it again. Shocked me completely when I was all sad and bummed about being alone on a special day. He was quite proud that he did it again, and kept smiling and laughing about me being all confused.
So I rushed around to get ready. I was almost late since I was distracted. We went to the appt for K together, did a few stops I had planned on, then decided to make it fun for K as well and we went to Chocolate World. After that he went to stay with his aunt and cousins and we just drove around and did some browsing in the stores. Ended up going to cracker barrel for supper and then back to pick up K. By the time we got home it was after 7 and we were exhausted. Everyone was in bed and asleep by 8:30. Which I must say is very unusual for me. I was completely exhausted though. It was a really good day and there is another post on the way about Kristopher's appt.

I've known my husband since we were in 5th grade. Back then, he was just this really weird boy that the bus driver made sit with me because we went in alphabetical order. He liked me, and I tried so hard to ignore him and not talk to him. He never let up. Eventually, I discovered that yes he is in fact very weird and strange, but he was also a very nice person.
So when we were in middle school, I found out he "liked" me. Again, we were together all the time because our last names put us together in class. By the time we were 15, we were together officially and we saw each other or talked to each other every single day. We found our ways.
In that time, we started to have a lot of people against us. Mostly my family but we fought hard and proved we would last through whatever came our way. Right after I graduated, we moved in together. We knew from early on that we wanted to get married some day, but we didn't know when and where, mostly just waited for the right time/sign showing us it was time.
So then a day came. 8 years and a couple days we were talking about things again. We knew we wanted to do it, but I didn't want a big wedding (do not like being center of attention and it terrified me at the time) and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something that was awkward to both of us. So I jokingly said, "lets just do it at the court house." We looked at each other for a minute, and he asked if I was serious and if so lets go get the license. I thought a little on it and said I did want to, I feel it's time and I'm ready so what are we waiting on. We called and got info, we got our license. We called and told family. We found a judge that was really great and does the marriages as a "Happy part of his job" and he encouraged us to invite family. So 8 years ago, we got married. We had our family there, it was special, but it was simple. We were happy.
In these 8 years, we have been put through a lot. We grew up a lot faster than most people our age. We had a lot thrown our way but we survived and are closer than I ever thought possible. I believe everything happens for a reason, and our reason is so we would be stronger. We can overcome any of this. We will survive.
Now I wonder if I should go back and thank that bus driver and those teachers that put us together......

Some answers
I just got off the phone with the herbalist. I'm not sure what I think on all this yet. I'm feel as if she didn't totally understand what I was trying to get answers for, and while I know it's important for me to get regular cycles, I also desperately want to keep trying! I have been re-bit by the baby bug and the fever is bad! I am going to make my appt for referral and a total physical by the family dr here in a week or 2, and then make the appt for the PCOS clinic too. I guess a few more weeks won't hurt me. Right now I can't make too many appts because I'm on call for a friend who's about to have her baby any day. Once that happens and she's home, I can make the appt without worrying.
So, what I found out today is based on my history and lack of periods, my best plan of action would be to start progesterone cream to try to get a period. 1 pump 1 time a day (bedtime) on a soft tissue part of the body. (ex. under knee, inside of arm, behind ear, thigh, stomach, etc.)
Take that for 45 days. That seems like a LONG time to me. But, it doesn't have the craziness like provera has, and is easier to handle then I'd be fine. Once a period would start, then I stop until day 12. If I get to 45 days, then I stop anyway, and I should get a period in 2-3 days. If not, wait a week and start all over.
And, while taking the progesterone cream, I am to take the T&C formula. 1/4 tsp, 3 times a day. This is to tone and cleanse the reproductive organs. While I'm on this, I'll will notice some spotting at first, and with the first period, it will be a little more and "darker" than usual. It basically helps shed all the nasty stuff that doesn't shed regularly. In many cases it also helps with cysts. PCOS and normal ovarian cysts seem to disappear or shrink while taking this. So for this, it would be taken when taking progesterone cream, and stop on day 1. Start again on day 12 and stop with either the start of a period or suspect pregnancy.
They say that this plan will balance out and should cause regular 28 day cycles within 3-6 months of continued treatment.
Another suggestion was to take herbal calcium, 1/4 tsp, 3 times per day as well. That promotes proper ovarian function as well. I could buy their herbal kind, or just get other calcium supplements and follow the recommendation on that.
They also say to continue the prenatals because it's very important and helps everything work even better.
Basically at this point, I have not ordered, and I'm still not sure what to do! I mean, this is all new and I don't know for sure I totally understand it all. It seems like a lot of things to take, and what was originally said to be an order for 4 months is now down to 2. And it costs over $135. I wish I knew for sure it would work for me. While it has very good success stories, I'm not NORMAL. I'm not even normal for PCOS. I stump the doctors, respond awesome sometimes, then don't respond again for months. I'm being cheap and really confused right now. And I know when I make my RE appt, they are not going to even acknowledge any of this herbal stuff and ease my mind any. It's always either birth control or fertility treatments. And the herbalist is all about all natural and their products and anti medical approach. I just want someone who can have opinions on the benefits/risks of both!
Ok, not stressing it anymore right now. Babysitting and baby's nap is over so I'm going to enjoy my baby time before she goes home.

More waiting
Apparently I ask too many questions. I've been chatting with this herbalist through email for a few weeks now, and I finally got a message last night saying that they feel at this time I'd be better served by phone and to please call toll free blah blah blah. Which I did, right away. She was gone for the day and the person that helped last night was not much help at all. So I called again this morning and left a message for the girl I've been talking to, to please call when she's able. No call back yet. I'm impatient. Very impatient at times.
I'm waiting till my friend has her baby before I schedule any appts. She's due on the 17th and I'm the one who will be keeping her daughter while she's in labor/in the hospital. A lot of good it will do me to schedule either appt and have to cancel, again.
And speaking of appts. I am going to make the one for the referral to also be a physical. I don't think I've had a total check-up since I got my drivers license permit physical back at 16. I haven't been to the family dr for anything other than a referral or sicknesses since that point. So, I think I should. I've also noticed recently that I've started to bruise very easily. Kind of scary with the size of these bruises, and I have no clue when or how it happened. It's kind of scary.

To rent or to buy...
We've been talking more and more about our plans for the spring. Either way at this point, we're moving in the spring. By April because that's when we worry about sign ups for Kindergarten.
I know what area we want to be, and the school district we hope for him to go to, but we're tossing around ideas now. Do we rent or do we buy? Rent is expensive. When you move, you have nothing to show for the time you were there. But at the same time, we're picky. And we know our limits. There is a house that was originally our main thought with moving, but it's only one floor, no basement, no upstairs. It would be big enough for us now, but later not so much. And we would have to figure out the storage options with the things we currently have in the garage here. It doesn't make sense to buy unless we are 100% happy with our choice. We know what we want, and it's just not there right now. Come spring, maybe, but for now I think we're leaning more towards renting again.
Previous to coming home, we had a really great townhouse. It was 3 bedroom 1.5 bath, and a full basement which we had taken the time in creating into a really nice playroom/rec room. We had more than enough space for now, and for if we had more kids. We were super close to everything. If anything went wrong, someone else fixed it. I guess that's my biggest worry with buying right now. I know some of the big problems that can go wrong, and I'm afraid we will lose a lot of money and struggle. I do not want to struggle!
I just feel kind of stupid for paying that kind of money in rent when it might be a little cheaper to just buy.
Oh and the other thing pulling me to the townhouse rental again is that school is less than a block away. I could walk him to school! No bus drama! I'm terrified of the idea of him going on the buses but with here, there is no other option other than filling my car twice a week.
There's just been a lot on my mind with all this lately. I hate moving. I just want to feel settled somewhere again.

Boo
This year Kristopher decided he was going to be a ghost for halloween. It sounded like such a simple idea at first and I was excited. My grandma gave us a white sheet and I figured how hard can it be. Well....4 hrs later we have an ok costume. I wish I could have planned it better but it turned out ok! So here he is getting all painted up. This was so hard because he kept moving and I ended up with a lot on me too.
First house was my grandma to show off our work.
So we ended up with soooo much candy by the time we were done. I don't have pictures of that though. He did really good this year. He said Trick or Treat each time, then said "Thank you and happy halloweeeeeen" in a little sing song voice.
And if we saw something "scary" he would still walk a little ahead and I kept hearing him saying "it's just pretend, just pretend." So brave this year! He was really into it which made it fun.
And tomorrow I have to post a picture of the bunny. We got a clearance cat costume at target today for $2. It's just a hat, but it fits the bunny. So hilarious. The things I do for entertainment.....
All finished! And impatient with the pictures.
