1 week post-op

Today makes me officially one week post-op. I feel almost normal now. Some slight discomfort if there is pressure against the incisions, and still a little puffiness left over. More than the normal, especially seeing as I'm down about 6-7lbs from surgery day. I'm happy about the weight loss. I think it's a start of something good. So far, I've discovered that cupcakes don't like me anymore. Chocolate chip cookies did ok, but I've only had half of one that I've shared with K, or, a small one. Easter lunch was a bit iffy, but I don't know what triggered things there. I think this has a lot to do with portions. Either way, I've found I get full a lot easier, and I'm feeling better with the new change. So I'm glad I went through with surgery. At least it will make me maintain healthier eating. I'm searching for some good low fat recipes now to change up our regular stuff a little. Any good recipes anyone wants to share?
I'm still battling the allergy. I ran out of benedryl with my dose before bed last night, so today has been benedryl free. The rash is mostly gone, and still a little itchy and bothersome. I hope that's gone soon.
Friday should be my last appt with the surgeon, and I should be released to go back to the study. I'm going to try not to obsess about that as much when I'm back to it. Try is the key word. We're getting into a busier time of year around here, so that helps.
There's not much else going on here. It's rainy and boring, so we're just having a lazy day. I honestly don't know what to work at that fits in with the "taking it easy" rule.
