Another doctor appt update

Kristopher went to the doctor today. His fever was gone, and he didn't cough the entire time waiting, or for the doctor. He also decided to be all wild and hyper in the room while I was trying to talk, which in turn made the little kids go nuts too. Before the doctor came in, I had all 3 sitting quiet as can be, perfect trip. I mentally was thanking god for such wonderful luck. Then that all hit....But we survived the appt. And everyone got stickers. Yay for stickers!

So, lungs sounded clear, and there was no found reason for his fever. Passed it off as probably just the cold that is going around, and instructed to go back on the singular for allergies. (we had just quit this a little over a week ago because we ran out, and I don't know if it really does any bit of good)
We get in the car and the coughing starts again. Back home, pretty constant coughing. Soundes pretty nasty, not like that dry annoying cough he had for a while. He ate soup and applesauce for lunch, and rested while the 2 little people napped. He decided he missed school, so we worked on the packet of reading homework for the rest of this week. We read a book and we did some spy puzzles. Then the kids got up and he was back to making them go wild and crazy again. Then all of a sudden he goes and lays on the couch. His lips were purple-ish and his face was getting all red again. Sure enough, motrin wore off and fever was back. 102.3. I called the doctor and the nurse put a note back for him, and in the meantime said to get more motrin in him, and if needed, a bath. So, I gave him the motrin. He rested. After no drop in 45 mins, I made him get a bath. That dropped things, and the doctor called back. He asked me to go out to the hospital and get a chest x-ray done just to be sure this hasn't settled again. Apparently he is high risk now since it's only been a month since we've been cleared. Chest x-ray appears to be normal, but we won't get the official reading till tomorrow. By the time we were home, he was hungry, fever was back to the 99's and he was acting more normal.
I'm hoping that by morning, he is back to normal and no fever. It's a big day at school and he is going to be so upset if he misses out. And Wednesday is even bigger day, and a t-ball game. Besides the fact that I kept him home today and he missed out on a few things, and then turned around and spent half the day bouncing off the walls. I really don't need a repeat of that. It's pretty exhausting and I'm kinda scared to see what summer is going to be like. The little kids really look up to him and he loves them just as much. It's cute, but I'm going to need a giant bottle of advil to survive the summer....
