Stomach virus

Kristopher's not feeling right. He started picking at his food on Friday last week, and not eating much. Very very unusual for him. Typically he eats like a grown man. I didn't think too much of it at first because we've been visiting a lot of family and they slip him all kinds of junk food so maybe he was just full or being picky. Saturday he ate breakfast & lunch alright but I started to notice he wasn't asking for anything unless we offered. And even then it wasn't an overly happy occasion. Sunday morning he starts the day with 2 diarrhea episodes. Very picky that day but no more diarrhea till Monday after supper.
The doctor just tells me that it's a virus that is going around and to focus on hydration, put him on the BRAT diet, etc. They say unless he is looking dehydrated, starts running a fever, any other symptoms or the diarrhea becomes really frequent, than they want me to just monitor him and keep him at home. No point in waiting the time, gas or money to get over there to be told that. And the virus that's going around can take as much as 10 days to run it's course! AHHH. I hope I don't get this too!!
He's drinking fine, and will snack at food but no real appetite yet. And he's incredibly calm. I'm letting him just curl up in his jammies and he's been watching movies and nick jr and even some spongebob cause that brings some smiles out of him.
Poor kid also getting these molars and has the loose front tooth. And the tooth that he recently lost already has started to come in and is poking through. So I'm sure that hurts too. When I ask him he says nothing hurts. Just zoning.
Weird how it takes a few days of an illness to make me wish for the hyper craziness that is our typical day....
