Ordering by mail

It is not working out very well. I could never be amish. It need to be able to track my orders and actually know what is going on.
My newest problem is I'm out of herbs. I had just enough for one of doses today. It's typically 3 a day. Part of this is my fault. When I ordered the first set of herbs, the midwife told me it would be fine to just send a letter with my name, address and order, and she would send it the day she receives it. It takes one day to get to her because it's really not that far away. She claims that this way is easier since they are amish and don't have total access to a phone. I'm not sure how their phone works exactly. It goes straight to voicemail and you have to leave a message and wait for a call back. The time I did call, it took 3 days to get a call back. So yeah, mail works faster in this case. I didn't remember to save the number off caller id, and lost the original piece of paper. Anyway, I've done it by mail with the past 2 orders. Mailed it one day, and 2 days later I get the package. I sent my order Monday. I still have not received my order. And now I'm totally out. I guess missing a day or 2 isn't that big of a deal. I missed a few days when I was sick a few weeks ago. But I am noticing a hormonal difference without it and really hope that it comes tomorrow. I've tried getting the number again from the neighbor lady but she's been away a lot lately. I guess it' s not worth the savings anymore and next time I'll order from the manufacturer. At least then I can track it and insure it gets to me when I need it.
