Zoey is really sick. I'm pretty sure she didn't get into anything this time, so I'm not sure what has caused it. It started Friday but not bad, so I figured it was just because she was stubborn and refused to go out earlier. Typically if she doesn't go out at her usual times, and she holds it longer, she has diarrhea for a little after she does finally go. All outside btw thankfully!
So, Saturday we get home and my mom says the dogs been sick, I probably shouldn't feed her normal food. She's still not bad, so I gave her rice/food mix instead of making her burger. She went more than normal but still was not bad. Sunday was the same till late in the day. I made her burger and rice, fed her small amounts more frequently, and spent all of Sunday night up every 15-20 mins to take her out. And it was really bad by that point. I won't go into more detail because it's very gag worthy and it's just too early. But anyway, I was up every 15-20 mins from about 12-5am. My mom was up at 5 and took over and I woke up at 7 in a panic because I thought she went to work and the dog was left alone downstairs. I rushed down and mom decided to stay home to help me with her because she was out still about the same amount of times.
We wait forever for the vet to open and she never did get an appt till 3:45. She got her usual shot, anti diarrhea meds, and antibiotics again. This time it's not working. I fed her last night around 7, and she was out at least 6 times over night. I got woke up at 5:45 because mom had her out and she said she started shaking when she got to the door (it is really cold this morning) and that when she tried to get her to come upstairs, she couldn't do the steps.
So, at this point, we're waiting for the vet to open again. I don't know if it's normal for a bad case of this to take a day or so to respond to meds, or if we're going back in for more tests. I just want for her to feel better. She can't lay normal right now and she keeps crying and moves around a lot to try to get comfortable. She's doing so good though. Not a single accident inside. My poor doggy....
And for a little humor to the mix...K got majorly freaked out and disturbed by being along to the vet and witnessing the vet stick fingers up poor Zoey's butt. Later he asks "but why? Her butt......WHY?"

Awe, poor baby. I hope she gets to feeling better. Not fun for anyone.
