I bought herbal tea. I'm not sure how it will work and I bet it will taste like butt, but I'm willing to try it. I've been doing so much research lately and while I originally thought I had the answer of what to start, the lady I talked to didn't seem so convincing. I'm not patient enough to try something for 6 months, then switch the plan and try another 6 months of something else. I want something that will show change quicker than that, and help me. And I'm really liking the idea of herbal as apposed to a winter full of long drives to the RE clinic and spending entirely too much money again for nothing.
Another thing I found and totally forgot I had was this fertility blend. I did try this before and had a lot of spotting so I quit taking it. If I remember right, I only took it for about 5 or 6 weeks, and I did have a period around 30 days, plus mid cycle bleeding. I stopped thinking it wasn't working. But now I have to wonder if that works like the T&C/HB formulas from last week's post. They warned me with that to expect spotting while the reproductive organs balance out and the body will get rid of the old. I didn't give it enough chance. So this I already have a full month supply of. I am going to talk to someone at GNC about it before starting it though because I'm not willing to stop the prenatals and this has vitamins as well as the herbs. I think before it said not to take both.
I still have not decided what my approach will be, and I still have not tried the tea. I feel sort of crazy because I test and it's negative, but I've also had a solid week of weird twinges and pains like something was going on. So without being monitored, I worry about what if. Everything I have available says do not take if you are or suspect you could be pregnant. I doubt that I am but that little voice will not shut up. It would be nice if I could find someone who truly understands the herbal ideas, and would be able to tell me what would work best for me and my needs AND wants. Without sounding confused, without forgetting that I do in fact WANT to be pregnant. If I just got a straight answer of something, I'd just do it already.
Another thing I've been told with the herbal choice is I really "should learn about temp charting and follow that strictly." That is just not an option for me. I do not sleep straight through on any night, so that will just be up and down and all over. I do not wake up at the same time daily. I can set an alarm, but it really isn't possible to do it effectively. I wake up multiple times per night, Dennis leaves at 3am, and K wakes up anywhere from before 6 to 8am. Just not going to work.
I guess you'll just have to jump in and see what happens with the herbal stuff. I'm sure all the conflicting info is difficult to sort through and can definitely see things getting frustrating.
ReplyDeleteGive yourself another week if you are worried about starting and already having something baking... if you can feel things than I would think a pos pee stick should follow shortly.
Maybe temping wouldn't work so well for you, because consistency is really important. Could this be a chance for you make a better sleep schedule and stick to it? I've also heard that having a good circadian rhythm is very important for fertility, so maybe it would do more good than you think. And remember, you don't have to temp all the time, just enough to catch and confirm ovulation (which was several days past O for me with my crazy fallbacks and slow rise).
