Anniversary

Yesterday morning I was feeling sort of bummed. It was our anniversary, and my husband had to work. Which typically isn't a big deal, but I knew we didn't have any plans and we decided we were getting each other anything this time. He woke me and said happy anniversary before he left for work, and I figured I wouldn't hear from him again till around lunch. So I get up, and decided I'd see if I could find a babysitter for us to get a few hours out. I text him asking how late he was working and he said "can't leave till after 5." More bummed, I kept trying and found his sister would LOVE to watch K for us. I figured it was time to suck it up and let her, and told myself he would at least have the chance to spend a few hours playing with his cousins. He desperately needs the interaction, and maybe since they are older he would stay more calm and follow the rules while there. (which he did awesome apparently)
So I text him back saying that I found a babysitter, how about supper? I'd meet him at work at 5. He said ok and asked what time I had to leave today for the appt. (new post on that later)
I said I had to be on the road by 9:30 so I probably wouldn't be able to talk when he was on his 1st break. I then proceed to rush around and make supper to throw in the crock pot for my parents, send K up to get dressed. Still working on supper I look out the window. I notice my car's roof rack says Xterra. I drive an explorer. I do a double take and I see the front end of his car pull up a little farther. THE SNEAK CAME HOME!!!!!!!!!! I almost cried. Then, I saw him walk around our cars and he was carrying flowers! There was actually a few tears but I recovered quickly and met him outside. He did it again. Shocked me completely when I was all sad and bummed about being alone on a special day. He was quite proud that he did it again, and kept smiling and laughing about me being all confused.

So I rushed around to get ready. I was almost late since I was distracted. We went to the appt for K together, did a few stops I had planned on, then decided to make it fun for K as well and we went to Chocolate World. After that he went to stay with his aunt and cousins and we just drove around and did some browsing in the stores. Ended up going to cracker barrel for supper and then back to pick up K. By the time we got home it was after 7 and we were exhausted. Everyone was in bed and asleep by 8:30. Which I must say is very unusual for me. I was completely exhausted though. It was a really good day and there is another post on the way about Kristopher's appt.
