Yesterday went so much better with the baby. I am pretty sure I'm right on the "sickness" right now. It appears that it was molars, and a slight cold. She handed me her paci yesterday and it was drooled and had blood mixed in the drool. Of course I freak and look all over it to see where it may have been broke and cut her. Then it hits me. Check the gums! Sure enough, top molar had broke through, and so did another bottom tooth. And her temp went down to 99. If it was the flu, there is no way she would have dropped that fast and been that huge of a change. By lunch, she was totally fever free. By evening she was same old wild baby I know. She ate and drank and played great last night.
My husband came home from work exhausted so I was able to manage making supper, eating, bathed the baby, cleaned up the kitchen while K bathed (he likes privacy now. Ha) then since Dennis went to bed, I got K to be totally ready for bed, read them both a ton of books and came downstairs again for quiet time for the baby. She fell asleep on me and I was in my happy place.
I managed to have everyone asleep by 9, house was clean, everything was great. Now I didn't shower but I can live with that.....There's always this morning to squeeze that in.
She goes home today and her little life is forever changed when she walks through that door and see mommy with another baby. I hope she does good with everything.
And I'm up early, quiet house and I'm looking forward to my day. Oh wait, I hear footsteps upstairs. My sneaky monster is awake. Time to start the day.
But anyway, I can totally handle another. Bring it on!
