I was one of the crazy people out there yesterday morning. My mom & I decided to attempt the sales. We got up at 2:30, and left the house by 3:15. Our first stop was Kohls at 4am and ended up making out incredibly well there. It was very busy, but everyone in that store was so organized and friendly. I spent $58 something, got 2 really huge bags full of toys and stuff, and saved over $90 total! Next we hit Target which was so crazy that we just walked out. We treated ourselves to Dunkin donuts for breakfast and then did a few more stores. While I typically hate walmart, they had some incredible deals yesterday as well.
I should say that K is totally done but I feel like going overboard...I know I shouldn't but he is the only one, and what if I don't have anymore? And next year he starts school and a lot of people I know say once they start school, it's common for them to stop believing in the whole santa thing. This year he is beyond excited about santa and the magic of everything so yes, I'll be crazy and spoil him rotten. I have a list for a trip to toysrus one of these days then I will be done with him.
I also have too many ideas for my friends little girl. I've let myself get too close and attached over the past few months of babysitting. They have way too much cute stuff for babies now though!
I never see my niece anymore so I only got her one thing so far and if I don't see her anymore before they show up for Christmas, that's all she's getting. I doubt we will even see her again till her birthday after Christmas is over.
My husband and I have decided we are not buying for each other but instead we are finally getting a Wii as a "family gift". I want to get Wii fit for it as well so that I can work on these weight issues over the boring winter months. I still have to figure out for our parents.
I plan on making a day of things and taking K out to buy for people too. He wants to get everyone something special and he even has his own little mental list of what people like. He's so excited about it. I love that he's thinking of others as well. And his ideas are pretty good on what they like! I hope he always is so thoughtful towards others....
Tomorrow we are going to get our tree and decorate outside. Next week I'm going to work on my Christmas card picture and I hope it turns out really good. I got a cute idea for it this year and I'll share once I finalize things.
You are a brave one, but sometimes the deals are worth it!
ReplyDeleteI have a wii and wii fit (but not the new one) and they are fun, but I don't use it very often. Mario Kart is probably our favorite game... but it becomes addictive. If me and my husband play, we end up spending ~3hours on it and can't sleep that night because the music is still playing in our heads... it's like a hangover.
I tell you what, I get jealous of people having girls, seems like the baby girl stuff is especially cute and there is a lot more of it than the boy stuff. Not fair.
