We found a turtle last week, and brought it in for a few hours so K could show everyone after work. Surprisingly, the dog was extremely interested, but very scared. I took the opportunity to get some good pictures of how "brave" she is. The first one she is sitting about 3 feet away, scared to look in to see what was in the tote.
So she had her best friend come sit with her, and then she got a little brave. 
Then we have the "why?" look.
And then the oh no it's on the floor....Now lets pretend like we don't see it and stay very far away look.
Brave again with her friend. He was saying "why is she scared? It's JUST a turtle."
Brave enough to get close and lay there. With a cool "I can do this" look.
Finally accepts the turtle as not that bad, and takes a nap beside it. 
And there you have it. I think it took about a half hour or more for her to get comfortable with it around. Then after we took it and left it go she acted depressed that we got rid of her new found friend.
