Today has felt incredibly long. I was up early and out of here at 6:30 to go to my appt. Ended up being late because they have reconfigured the parking and the new patient lot is about 1/2 mile away. At least I ended up getting a nice walk in. Since I was a few mins late, there wasn't any waiting and the doctor was already up there ready for the u/s.
Based on the u/s, things are looking good. The left ovary was somewhat hidden and hard to determine a size of the follicle. It was definitely large enough and they think it was post ovulatory. Lining looks really great and apparently that looks like it's post ovulation as well. He said it was perfect for this point in the cycle. Right ovary has another follicle, but doesn't look like it's released and isn't really that big. It was over 10, but not by much. I've started feeling some twinges on that side late last night and on the way in today. Not sure what to think of that.
This time I have pics of the lining and the right ovary. If I knew it was possible I'd have asked each time!
I'm still waiting to hear back about the P4 results. Hopefully they are high. Our timing was "perfect" and we can't really get much better than that. This just has to work. This month was the first one of this whole thing that I didn't have any interruptions of weirdness. It will probably hit hard if this doesn't work. Because we really can't do much more on our end.
Other appt news is I'm down 2lbs. Even with really bad eating lately, staying busy must be helping. I talked to her about the insulin resistance part of PCOS because I've been wondering what my results were for that. It was never said, just that all results were in normals. She looked it up and said that I don't have to worry at all there. So that's good to know. Basically they say that I'm not a typical PCOS patient and a lot is a surprise when it comes to me. Nice to know.....I guess that means I'm special. Or something. Ha. She asked if I needed anymore tests and I got sent home with 2. Feed the obsession.
So now we wait. It's too late for me to hear anything else about the results today. I'm going to try to avoid testing till at least the end of next week. Like, cd 33 maybe. That would be the 25th. We will see if I can make it that long.
I'm glad to hear that things look promising and they you were able to get the timing right on this time. That's a pretty good start.
ReplyDeleteI hope this is it for you, try to enjoy the next couple weeks and not focus on it too much. I think it makes it easier to get through.
On the IR stuff, it sounds like they did, but just to make sure, you might check they took insulin readings during your GTT. I think most RE's do that, but a lot of drs won't actually take insulin and just look at the glucose results. I had a GTT done several years ago by a endocrinologist and he knew I had PCOS and didn't take them. A lot of good he did me.
Sounds like a good apt!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear your numbers tomorrow!!!!
