Our girly placement is on hold. They are taking forever to decide what they want to do. In the meantime, we were asked to take 3 emergency kids last week. They came from a very bad situation and we were the only chance to keep them together for the next 10-30 days. They are 2, 4 and almost 5. Never any rules and no boundaries. It's been crazy here to say the least. We go to court next Monday to see if their parents improved their conditions and if so they will get to go back. If not, they will start to introduce a few families to see which has the best match with them. So at the very latest, they will go back early September. As cute as they are, I'm beyond my limits. I'm still babysitting so I now have 6 under 5, and one almost 8 yr old that is highly annoyed by the constant craziness.
Oh and to top it off, once we agreed to take them, the other caseworker decided the girls could come with us, and now we're waiting. Hopefully they wait the 30 days, and we get them. We really bonded and they got along very well with Kristopher. If not, we will probably be waiting for a while again....
Better go..May not be posting much the next few days. It's nuts here.
Wow. I know it's hard, but feel good that you are doing something that really matters. Ok, well, stay sane! And geez, could the girls placement be any wackier?! You'd think they'd push to have them placed with you already to let them adjust. Good luck!
