The "fall fest" was yesterday and it went pretty good from what I am told. He had a lot of stuff to talk about when he got home. We ended up sending him as a ghost and he had several books that he could tell them it came from. During recess, his costume ripped across the entire back. It's beyond repair. So luckily, we already did a pretty good trick or treat adventure with family and a few close friends. It's not what we've done in the past, but it will be good enough. I'm not going out and buying a costume for just an hour long event that we were going to do.
He came home yesterday with his school pictures. I know retakes are an option, but I'm not wasting the time. My first complaint is he is not smiling. I might be weird, but I was actually hoping for that toothless grin as his first school picture. A lot of people hope that that doesn't happen, but I thought it was cute. My next complaint is he looks uncomfortable. It's very much not his normal photo look. I asked him about it, and he claims they did not try to make him smile and acted mad and in a hurry. He said there were lots of people to still go, so he sat and did it and was done. Simple enough and the picture isn't THAT bad, but still. With the price of things, I was hoping for better. At least I only purchased 1 sheet since I do all of my own pictures anyway. I truly only wanted this because it was his first school photo. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, and now that I know, I will not be purchasing more than a sheet at a time. Reorders are always an option. And the last complaint I have is that they didn't even use the background we checked. I paid online, and everything was pre-ordered, as well as checked on the sheet we turned in. And it still was wrong.
It just gives me a project now I guess. Time to get out and get some fall pictures. Too bad I was lazy and have missed the toothless grin already. Those teeth came in really fast.
