My boy has a very active imagination. He also talks from the second his eyes open, till he goes to sleep, and even some while sleeping. He sometimes talks so fast that he drools and chokes because he doesn't want to take that second to swallow spit. Not a moment of silence here.
But anyway, I am thankful that he is able to do so because I have several friends that have gone through a lot of therapy and help to work with their children, so this is no way a complaint.
So today, we were at the garage. I was informed this morning that there was a nail in my tire. I wanted to get it taken care of before it ends up as a flat so we had it checked out. While we are waiting, it starts the non stop questions and observations.
Kristopher: Oh Look, A fox tail! (weed) Mommy, why do they call it a fox tail?
Me: I guess because it sorta looks like a fox's tail.
Kristopher: Oh. But foxes are not green. Did you ever see a green fox? Maybe they hide that we can't see them? Oh look, there's a bee-hind. (beehive)
Me: bee HIVE, not behind. And yes, I see that too.
Him: We better move just in case they are in there. Do you hear any? I don't hear any bees. Or see any bees. We better move over here. (he moves on my other side) See, I'm out of the way. You should slide down this way a little more just in case. Why would a bee built it's HIVE there? See?I said hive the right way this time.
Me: Good job. I'm not sure why they built their hive there, but I think it's an old one and they aren't in there anymore.
Him: Oh. Well they could be sleeping. I think they are sleeping. Oh look, there comes the guy to fix our tire. How do you think that nail got in there? Where did it come from? Hi, I'm Kristopher. My mommy's car has a nail in the tire.
Mechanic: Hi. Which tire?
Kristopher: I'll show you! This one! Right here! It moved since we were at home! How did that happen? Did it fall out already? How are you going to take it off?
Poor mechanic looks at me like woah.......
So while they take my car over, Kristopher goes on and on about how he doesn't know why I'd get nail in the tire, trying to decide how it was coming out, trying to determine what noises were coming from over there, naming cars from Cars movie. Said hi to the tow truck which he has named Mater since he was about 2 and we would drive past. He finally met Mater today.
So after about 40 mins of non stop questions, we were on our way.
I then realized that in a few months, he won't be home to go with me on weird little errands. I will miss this, and it will be insanely quiet at my house. I don't think I'm ready for it.
Awwwwe. So cute. He sounds kinda like my nephew. My nephew takes a breath now and then, but he says everything in a very matter of fact tone, and he wears glasses and they are always sliding down his nose and he has to push them up. He's a lot like a talkative old librarian.
